MOERKAPELLE, NETHERLANDS – 9 FEBRUARY 2016 – Chris Maat, managing director/partner at Interko – the leading multinational provider of fresh fruit ripening systems – will be on hand at the upcoming Gulfood 2016 exhibition in Dubai to explain how investing in the latest ripening technology can ensure clients remain at the top of the ladder.
Chris, who will be present at the trade show on Sunday 21 February, is inviting both existing and potential clients to make an appointment to meet with him. Customers will be able to obtain information on the many different ripening management solutions Interko is able to offer, and, in particular, the company’s revolutionary, fully-integrated, energy-efficient cooling unit that comes complete with the Interko Smart control system.
“Interko offers the most efficient ripening rooms in the world in terms of energy and quality,” explains Chris. “The Middle East has always been an important market for us and Gulfood presents the perfect platform to discuss with customers how we can help introduce energy-saving ripening solutions and ripening management strategies that can increase the sustainability of their business and, in turn, enhance their company’s competitive position.”
In addition to presenting the results of successful projects recently introduced by the company in both the Middle East and other international markets, Chris will be available at Gulfood 2016 to offer advice on how to upgrade and improve existing systems.
“We are committed to working closely with our clients to help them meet their needs and goals,” Chris says. “We offer a comprehensive range of turn-key ripening solutions; all of which offer the user improved controllability and greater energy-efficiency that results in cost savings too.”
Interko has had a phenomenal year following the introduction of its fully-integrated Interko Smart ripening control system, which offers state-of-the-art technology and a simple control process for the end user. The company reports that its system with its new integrated design and sensors is second to none in terms of mechanical quality and air-flow efficiency.
“To put it simply, Interko Smart enables clients to obtain a maximum quality output from a minimum human input,” states Chris. “It took us two years to put all of our expertise into developing this unique integrated system, which we see as the most effective and forward-thinking ripening technology available on the market today.”
At the end of 2015 Interko also unveiled its first major project to use LED lighting, with the completion of a 12-room banana ripening installation at a major fresh produce operator’s facilities in Barcelona, Spain.
To date, Interko has installed over 6,000 ripening rooms in over 50 countries across the globe. Over the past 12 months the company has acquired major new global contracts to design, build and install state-of-the-art ripening facilities for fresh fruit, including its largest project to date, a 43-room ripening centre for a major player in the UK. Featuring 3 tiers and capacity of 60 pallets per room, the facility is able to ripen up to 8 million boxes of bananas every year.
This year Interko will also showcase its bespoke ripening designs at Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong and at Germany’s refrigeration trade exhibition Chillventa.
With Gulfood 2016 just around the corner, Interko invites both existing and potential clients to meet with Chris Maat, and Business Development Manager Anna Zegveld at the Dubai World Trade Centre where the event takes place.
“Come and see us to find out more and discover how our bespoke service can solve your ripening requirements through tailor-made solutions,” points out Chris. “We’re proud to offer everything from a simple plug-and-play ripening solution for a basic room to high-end, multi-layer ripening rooms for big distribution centres.”
