MOERKAPELLE, NETHERLANDS – 6 OCTOBER 2016 – Interko, the world’s number one supplier of cooling and banana ripening systems, is excited to announce that it will be exhibiting at Chillventa, the leading international trade fair for refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump systems, on October 14-16 in Nuremberg, Germany.

The company is seeking new installation partners from across the globe in addition to showcasing its latest technological advancements, which include a new range of EC reversible fans plus its fully-integrated Interko Smart ripening control system.

Interko offers everything from multi-layer ripening rooms for a big distribution centre to more flexible rooms for ripening different types of fruit, as well as simple plug and play solutions for a single and more basic unit. While the company has excellent partners in many countries across the globe it is keen to develop its network further and to fill the gaps that still exist on the map and in certain markets in particular.

“We are especially keen to enter into long-term partnership arrangements with installers in countries outside Europe,” says Chris Maat, managing director/partner of Interko.

“We are growing substantially and want to strengthen our network worldwide and, in particular, in areas where we are witnessing strong demand for our ripening systems for bananas and other tropical fruits.”

Interko already benefits from a strong network of partners who provide professional installation and maintenance support for the company’s state-of-the-art ripening systems.

“Our customers can work with an installer of their own choice, but many prefer to liaise with our preferred installers, all of whom are familiar with the fresh fruit business in which we operate.”

Interko will be exhibiting for the second time at Chillventa, following a very successful show in 2014.

“It is one of the most important technology events in the world and a key meeting point for companies like ours who are keen to come together to do business with potential installation partners,” points out Chris.

A leading pioneer in ripening room technology, Interko has installed ripening rooms in over 50 countries across the globe to date. Ripening systems represent approximately 70% of the company’s turnover, while heat exchangers account for a further 30% of its activities. The company also has a brand new range of EQH air cooling units that can be made to measure for a wide range of facilities, such as glasshouses and packhouses, and delivered to clients anywhere in the world.

Chillventa’s three-day trade show presents a platform for Interko to highlight its wider product range since the firm’s last attendance in 2014, and to showcase the very latest developments in its fresh fruit ripening technology.

“Chillventa provides us with a unique opportunity to network and to build relationships with new and existing installation partners with whom we can work in a collaborative way in order to support our expanding range of clients and their fresh fruit ripening requirements,” notes Chris.
